The situation materials used in ideological and political teaching should have the features of being ideological, political, authentic, interesting, original, timely, vivid, and infectious. Mastering a scientific and reasonable method of collecting and applying the materials will have a positive effect on the situational teaching and the resource development of ideological and political course.The research is done together with observation, mainly through teaching observation combined with teaching practice, and using the research methods like documentation study, classroom observation, case analysis, etc. It explores how the ideological and political teachers choose and make use of the situation materials, create teaching situation, and conduct classroom teaching in an effective way.There is a deviation from the situation material teaching objectives, and students practice disjointed, lack of effectiveness, re examination of moral education problems in selection of light. The selection and use of material situation of Ideological and political course should adhere to the correct value guidance, reflect the times, full of life, respect the subjectivity. By focusing on current affairs, cyber source, investigation, reading and other methods to collect situation material, be arranged to work in peacetime. Situation of material processing should pay attention to context of moderate complexity, context representation should be concise. The use of situational material to adhere to a case, ingenious setting situation, make full use of the textbook material situation.The author, according to her own teaching practice and observation in class, summarizes the problems of situational teaching in high school’s ideological and political classes, researching into the principle of selecting situation materials, and finding out the way and procedure of using them, in order to provide guidance to the teaching practice, improve the teaching ability and level, and optimize the teaching effect. Meanwhile, the research is intended to make a modest contribution to the research of the situational teaching, and the resource development of ideological and political course.
