Learning community has been the important form of primary and secondary school’s teaching nowadays. And it also has been one of the hot topics in education. With the coming of a society full of network, information and digital, new technology and education reform promotes constantly, which makes teachers face many challenges and opportunities. New types of professional development model and learning organization are forming. This is called Online Learning Community. In promoting teachers’ development in China’s traditional education has had a very good area of the research. But no matter in theory or in practice, we lack a kind of effective strategies to combine the traditional advantages with that of online learning community. In this background, we put forward an effective mode to promote teachers’ professional development. That is the study of regional teacher learning community based on the Internet.This study is based on the analysis of learning community at home and abroad, teachers’ learning community and regional teacher learning community. According to group dynamics theory, social constructive theory, the theory lifelong learning and learning organization theory, and taking Liyang geographic E as the research object, the study has made deep thorough analysis about the situation of the study of regional geography teacher learning community,existing problems and the factors by using literature analysis, case analysis, questionnaire survey, action research method. What’s more, the study discusses the determination of training objectives and the construction of training platform. And it also provides the training mode of autonomous study on campus and regional linkage learning, as well as the training content about educational reading, theme study, subject guidance, field practice and so on. In the end, the thesis provides reference for the progress of teachers’ study and the establishment of other learning communities combining training safeguard and evaluation mechanism, research results and practical cases.
