At present,most middle schools in China adopt the class teaching system.Due to the different life experiences of students and the uneven knowledge base of subjects,it is difficult for teachers to take care of all students in the training mode of classroom teaching,so there will inevitably be "students with learning difficulties",and geography is no exception.Geography is a subject with both arts and science knowledge,and regional geography is a hot examination point of geography.It is inevitable that there will be a group of poor students in regional geography.At the present stage when the baton of college entrance examination plays an important role,it is of positive significance to study the current situation and transformation methods of learning strategies of students with regional geography difficulties.This paper mainly adopts the methods of questionnaire analysis,teacher interview,statistical analysis and so on.It selects the students of Geography in senior two of three middle schools in Huangshi City of Hubei Province as the research object.According to the standard of defining students with learning difficulties and the "learning strategy questionnaire",it investigates the students of Geography in senior two of three middle schools and the geography teachers,And carry out statistical analysis,in order to understand the level and characteristics of learning strategies of students with regional geography difficulties.The results show that:(1)The score of learning strategy level of students with learning difficulties is 3.13,which indicates that their learning strategy level is generally low.Among them,the scores of learning attitude,learning motivation,time management,anxiety,concentration,information processing,map use and test strategy were 3.37,3.48,2.94,3.14,3.35,3.29 and 2.92 respectively.This shows that in all aspects of learning strategies,the students with learning difficulties have some problems,such as improper learning attitude,weak learning motivation,lack of time management ability,high degree of anxiety,vulnerable to the influence of surrounding things,weak information processing ability,lack of map use ability,and lack of examination strategies.(2)There are significant differences in learning attitude and learning motivation among students with learning difficulties in different schools.In terms of learning attitude,the students with learning difficulties in No.2 Middle School scored 3.55,the students with learning difficulties in No.7 Middle School scored 3.33,and the students with learning difficulties in No.6 middle school scored 3.28.In terms of learning motivation,students with learning difficulties in No.2 Middle School scored 3.65,students with learning difficulties in No.7 Middle School scored 3.42 and students with learning difficulties in No.6 middle school scored 3.39.It can be seen that the students with learning difficulties in key middle schools have more correct learning attitude and stronger learning motivation,while the students with learning difficulties in ordinary middle schools need to improve their learning attitude and motivation.(3)The nine teachers interviewed all think that students with learning difficulties can be transformed,but it takes a long time.At the same time,there are some problems in the poor students of regional geography,such as they have no interest in geography,can't use maps correctly,lack of spatial thinking ability,weak knowledge transfer ability and so on.However,due to the heavy workload of teachers,high school geography class price tension,additional need to participate in various activities organized inside and outside the school,so can not spend too much time on this group of students with learning difficulties.Among them,only two teachers will consider the students with learning difficulties in the process of lesson preparation and class,and will prepare multiple explanation methods for a knowledge point.Therefore,teachers should pay more attention to students with learning difficulties.Based on this,in order to transform the students with regional geography difficulties,this paper puts forward the following transformation strategies: 1.Teachers should treat the students with learning difficulties correctly and adhere to the principle of not giving up;2.Help the students with learning difficulties to correct their learning attitude and stimulate their learning motivation;3.Teachers should cultivate their interest in geography learning,mainly from the aspects of carefully preparing the first geography lesson,diversified teaching,correctly praising and encouraging the students with learning difficulties(4)teaching scientific geography learning methods,mainly including multiple memory methods,skillful use of mind mapping,mastering necessary mapping skills,adjusting mentality,and correctly facing geography examination;(5)constructing geography difference teaching;(6)implementing multiple evaluation,mainly including multiple evaluation subjects,multiple evaluation contents,and focusing on developmental evaluation;(7)establishing a good relationship between teachers and students.By studying the level and characteristics of learning strategies of students with regional geography difficulties,educators can better understand the learning strategies of students with regional geography difficulties,reduce the blindness of teaching,and provide reference for the transformation of students with regional geography difficulties.
