The Cooperative learning theory springs in the 1970s, which has came into being lots of genres through America, Israel, Germany and many other countries’explorations and practice. Over the last twenty years, the theory has been confirmed and found favor in educational circles, scholars and front-line teachers in China. They have conducted large numbers of theoretical and practice research.Cooperative learning is the main point of focus in the Framework of New Curriculum Reform, whose connotations coincide with the new reform of the high school curriculums’ idea "facing all the students", "students being the main part" and "taking active part in studying".For the sake of producing people’ mutual understanding, Cooperative learning theory generates. In the abstract, it not only can improve students’study by a large margin but also can promote students’emotion soundly, especially let possess different styles student help each other will improve their interpersonal communication skills, coordination capabilities, cooperation abilities and so on, and then meet the demand of Society’s development. In the fact, the author find a lot of defects about its existing research and practice, for example, the research emphasizes too much on the form of small groups, without the corresponding evaluation mechanism, and the fact of Big-class teaching model hinder the idea’s deeply development.After gathering and studying adequate knowledge of the idea, the author grasped the opportunity of educational practice to conduct out a bold attempt, using the biological inquiry experiment curriculum as a teaching case. After making an effective communication with leaders and the class teacher, undergoing the survey analysis at the preparation stage, the cooperative learning-inquiry experiment practice was successfully put into effect five times.Firstly, according to the pacific observation in all the classes, the author determined a practice class and made instructional designs of cooperative learning courses, at the same time, made detailed plans about the group classification, seating arrangements and responsibilities.Letter, drawing lessons from previous experience, the author properly adjusted the evaluation and monitoring systems, ordering to get better consequence.Finally, the author completed the tasks of teaching plans at the end of the semester. Base on the data and analysis, the author has got following conclusions:First, it has good effect influence on students’ communication attitude and skills, not only can improve cooperation capabilities but also reinforce active inquiry consciousness.Second, Cooperative learning model must base on certain operable mechanisms, such as the qualified teachers’, students’ skills of association, otherwise we won’t reach efficient effect.Third, the model has a certain range, because different courses, different level knowledge and skills are not fully applicable.At last, though some problems happened beyond expectation, the practice has not got obvious influence, while it was a precious experience. We should hold prudent attitude to promote cooperative learning and believe in it will become more and more popular.
