In the era of great change,education activities take great responsibility on cultivating innovative talents.Traditional education focuses on subject knowledge and understanding of shallow memory,the requirement for the issue of knowledge application is in-deficiency.Inquiry learning is a kind of the study way and course form.Inquiry learning is investigative,open,autonomous,comprehensive,practical and cooperative.As an independent course,inquiry learning class time is limited,the research target is limited.Thus carrying out the inquiry learning in biology teaching,combining biology teaching and research learning can change the way of students learning and improve the ability of practice and innovation.For ultimately the university entrance exam of high school students is a win-win result.This paper discusses the specific strategies and methods of the inquiry learning in the new lesson,experiment lesson,exercise class and extra-curricular activities in class 3 and 4of the second grade in Guyang No.1 High School,Baotou,Inner Mongolia to provide the reference for middle school teachers' teaching practice.In the new lesson,author carried out the practice of inquiry learning though the implementation of the inquiry learning subject in teaching material,the study of the history of science teaching content,choosing appropriate content to open a special inquiry.In the experiment lesson,author mainly created an orderly classroom,used of modernized teaching means,designed experiments and guided students to solve the problem,attached great importance to the experimental process and results of analysis to carry out the practice of inquiry learning.Exercise class is the main position to improve students' thinking ability.In the exercise class,author opened investigativesubject of exercises,transformed the mode of "lays down the law",urged students to consider independently,made the students explore cooperation and take the initiative to sum up the problem solving skills.In the extracurricular activities,ways and contents of the practice of developing inquiry learning is various,this article mainly introduced the practice of developing inquiry learning method through competition platform and life practice.The results of the test paper and questionnaire survey show that paying attention to carry out research learning in all aspects of high school biology teaching can effectively improve the students' study result,learning attitude,learning styles and abilities,especially in the study of biological interest and experimental exploration ability.
