With "The Kindergarten education Reform Program (Draft)" being published and implemented, the preschool education is becoming to arouse people’s attention. Being one of the most important parts of kindergarten education, various scholars have attached importance to the art education. Recently, more and more art education researches are about ecological art education. Folk art is a kind of original art, and it is our country’s excellent traditional culture. Using folk art culture in the kindergarten art education not only can help the children know more about native culture, cherish native culture relics and promote their all-round healthy growth, but also conduce to the culture’s spread and develop. Therefore, the author carries out the research in order to promote the using of Shanxi folk art in the kindergarten art education.This thesis is based on the summarized of Shanxi folk art and the value of kindergarten education. Also, it combines the theories of Education, Folklore and Anthropology of Children. The author takes kindergarten A, for example and applies the methods of observation, interviews and documents to investigate the relative situation from the following five aspects:situation of teacher know about folk art, goal making, content selection, implementation and organization, activity evaluation. From the above five aspects, author analyses the successful experience and the existing problem. At last, author combines theory and practice together, tables a proposal in the hope that it is helpful for the others educators.Through observation and interview, author summarizes the successful experience that kindergarten A uses folk art into the kindergarten art education. First, fully use the useful resources of parents, community and society. Second, attach importance to the education values of hidden curriculum and made effective environment creation. Third, pay more attention to children’s emotional experience when the teacher making goals. Certainly, there are some shortcomings. First, teachers know little information about Shanxi folk art, and they are lack of education attainment and curriculum transformation ability. Second, education contents are just involved a few aspects.Third, activity is lacking long time and efficient persistent. The causing reason of these weaknesses may have the following points:on one hand, because of the development of economic andsociety, there are lots of folk art has already lost. The pursuit of western culture is becoming more popular than before. So people know less and less about traditional culture. On the other hand, teacher’s teaching ability and artistic accomplishment is limited. This situation extremely limits the curriculum implementation. At last, the educational department pays little attention to folk art. Kindergartens between each others are lacking resources sharing and communication.According to the understanding of Shanxi folk art, several recommendations are drawn for the problems existing in the using folk art process. First, fully use the useful resources of parents, community and society, and improve the teachers’ education quality. Second, clarify the using target of folk art. Besides, under the general activity target, make different teaching goal for different classes. Third, enrich the using content of the folk art, pay attention to the content logic and the relationship with other subjects. Forth, complete organization and implementation of folk art using and combine technical educational activity and infiltrative educational activity together. Fifth, complete the evaluation of folk art using, pay attention to the process evaluation and respect every kid’s learning method. Sixth, get the support of the educational department, strengthen communication and contact with other kindergartens. And the author hopes that the suggestions can provide reference to the kindergarten teachers and improve folk art using in the kindergarten.
