Education in minority areas of minority students should be from the point of view of the characteristics of their learning, a careful analysis of the characteristics of their learning,exploring their own teaching mode on the basis of this, using the mode of teaching in order to achieve the true sense of the national educational optimization. This research is mainly based on the following two hypotheses:Hypothesis 1: there are differences in the cognitive and non cognitive aspects of students and Han Yi students.Hypothesis 2: the proper teaching method can make students learn mathematics yi.Hypothesis 1 is mainly for the understanding and application of inquiry leaming of mathematics in Xundian national high school the first grade students of yi. Investigationcan help us reveal the learning situation of Yi senior middle school students in a certain extent of Yi Students’ mathematics learning characteristics. The study adopted thequestionnaire and interview, investigation and analysis of the investigation after the end ofthe data integration using SPSS software for correlation, and using the results of the analysis have no correlation to prove they had no difference. Hypothesis 2 is the follow upstudy on the assumption of 1. By hypothesis 1 results from the point of view of their ownpoint of view, summed up the following teaching strategy: take the student as theeducation idea, to exclude the difficulty and anxiety of students; strengthen the systemmanagement and moral education in training, Yi students good learning habit and living habits; potential intelligence to the development of Yi students, strengthen the cultivation of psychological quality and non intellectual factors, improve the students’ mathematics learning performance.Find the teaching methods and means for Yi students in mathematics teaching, so that they can have a good start in the later study. At the same time, can also provide reference for the education and teaching of teachers in senior high schools in Yi nationality area.
