In recent years, some magazines and newspapers have reported that postgraduates’ employment rate is low. These reports caused widespread social influence. As we all known, employment situation for postgraduate students is not optimistic now. Most scholars have investigated its reason. Most of them definitely confirm that current postgraduate employment are impacted by two factors. On the one hand, since 1999, China’s higher education have stepped into the popularization stage, simultaneously, the postgraduate recruitment scale is expanding unceasingly in our country. As the result of that situation, the number of graduate substantially increase year after year, unfortunately, the society couldn’t offer much more jobs for the postgraduates. On the other hand,with the rapid development of our country’s economy, the industrial structure have been adjusting, a huge cut have been brought in overall employment circumstance in China.The employment problems of postgraduates have received the widespread attention of the society. This research has a very important practical significance. Researching the postgraduate student’s problems which is existing in the job hunting, and putting forward to the corresponding response, is not only be availability to those postgraduates’ taking up an occupation, but is also beneficial to promoting postgraduates personal growth. It also has a realistic significance for the sustainability and healthy development of the higher education.This paper consists of five main parts. The most important part of this thesis is investigating with a self-made questionnaire. the questionnaire of postgraduates’ employment stress in Yunnan province will be designed on the basis of relevant investigation and collected data. Through the questionnaire and auxiliary interviews, I hope to analysis the graduate employment pressure performance of Yunnan student,and figure out the source of the employment pressure and the ways which serve as coping with the employment pressure problem.Then, I executed the questionnaire to inquire postgraduates’ employment pressure among postgraduates of six universities. After I have analyzed the statistics, I found that postgraduates have the medium level employment pressure. Moreover, the employment pressure mainly comes from five aspects, and stern employment circumstances give postgraduates more pressure than other factors. My survey revealed that Yunnan postgraduates tend to adopt more positive ways in coping with stressful problem in job hunting.Focus on the result of analysis, I will put forward the corresponding countermeasures in the third primary part of this dissertation.
