The learning and development of the class concept is one of the important process of thinking, Hierarchical classification of the class concept is the processing of the complex external world organization orderly for us, important human cognitive ability. Through the division of class concept hierarchy, children begin to classify different things and know the boundless universe, therefore the contribution of the research on children’s class concept hierarchy is enormous for the cognitive development.Through the previous research, we can see the scope of research on class concept hierarchy is concentrated on the order of acquisition of class concept hierarchy for infants and preschool children, and the class concept hierarchy process of adult, the most of subject of study is preschool children or undergraduate. The particularity of pupils determines their unique processsing of hierarchical concept class, and the thinking of students is developing, how is for them? In this study, depending on predecessors’ researches, we discuss the hierarchical relationship the class concept and development of the pupils.This research adopts the masking paradigm, selects primary school students in grade two, four, six. From different levels of the class concept, we make three experiments and explore grade difference of pupil in the class concept hierarchy of and the interaction of development of the pupils on different levels of class concept. The result displays that:1. Overall, grade is a factor in development of primary school pupils’ class concept hierarchy, among them, the fourth and sixth grade elementary school students compared with the second grade students shows a obvious development.2. The development of class concept follow the order of upper, base,and lower. Grade four is a turning period of the development.3. In masking paradigm, when the target word is different of the prime words, participants were easier to extract prime word.
