The quality of kindergarten education is crucial for the development of Chinese pre-school education. Currently, research mainly explores the quality of kindergarten education in terms of the structure quality, the process quality, and the result quality. The structure quality is the precondition for kindergartens, while the process quality is a dimension that closely related to children’s physical and bodily development.With literature review, observation, and interviews, the present study analyses the quality of one Kunming kindergarten, Kindergarten B, including the features and problems concerning the quality of this kindergarten’s education. Based on the findings, the study also gives some advice to solve the existing problems.The thesis consists of six parts:Part I: The research question.Part II: Introduction of Kindergarten B.Part III: The structure quality of Kindergarten B. This part describes the general status, qualification of staff, and classes.Part IV: The process quality of Kindergarten B. This part systematically describes teachers’ teaching attitudes and behaviours, courses, parental engagement, health and safety.Part V: The features of the education quality of Kindergarten B. These features include good hardware, management, professionalism of teachers, and “small capacity class”.Part VI: The existing problems and advice of Kindergarten B’s education quality. To tackle problems such as relocation the campus, high mobility of teachers, and some potential market risks, the study has raised some suggestions.
