The coming of the knowledge-based economy brings the opportunity of fast developing economic as well as the challenge of shortage of innovative applied talents. In developedcountries, a relatively mature system and practice of innovation and entrepreneurship education has been already formed through decades of history while that in China only has years of development.Although it has become hot topic in college education at present, a large amount of colleges and universities are facing difficulties in the process of implementation due to lack of funding resources, restriction of curriculum, shortage of teachers,and insufficiency of practice platforms. Applied undegraduate colleges, which should provide services for regional economics through training of high-level applied talents via innovation and entrepreneurship education, are severely restricted by internal and external factors during the actualprocess of implementation.In this paper, Quzhou University is taken as an example, the history, present situation,achievement and existing problems of innovation and entrepreneurship education are analyzed.Through the investigation and interviews of advanced practice at home and abroad as well as combination with the main problems in the current, the changing of education idea is proposed.Several steps are submit to construct the social support system, such as setting up curriculum system, building long-effect mechanism, strengthening the construction of teaching staff and expanding the practice base.The first part of this paper is introduction, which describes the the background, objective and significance of this research, elaborating the research ideas and methods.The second part discusses concepts of applied undergraduate college, innovation education,entrepreneurship education and innovation and entrepreneurship education, analyzes the orientation of talent cultivation of applied undergraduate colleges and connotation of innovation and entrepreneurship education, describes the theoretical basis of the innovation and entrepreneurship education.The third part summarizes the problems of applied undergraduate college in our country at present through deep analysis of the history and present situation of innovation and entrepreneurship education.The fourth part takes innovation and entrepreneurship education of Quzhou University as an example, deeply analyze problems throughthe investigation of status and deficiency of educationconcept, course system, practice platform and faculty in innovation and entrepreneurship education.indicates the direction of improvement and perfection of the innovation and entrepreneurship education.The Fifth part analyzes the current situation, development characteristics and advanced practice of innovation and entrepreneurship education abroad.The sixth part aim at the existing problems of the innovation entrepreneurship education in our applied undergraduate college. The changing of education idea is proposed. Several steps are submit to construct the social support system, such as setting up curriculum system, building long-effect mechanism, strengthening the construction of teaching staff and expanding the practice base.Discusses the feasible way and develop the innovation and entrepreneurship education in our applied undergraduate college.
