The lack of culture in the present middle school English teaching has become a serious problem when we facing English education reform in China. You have to learn the language and understand the culture of the language at the same time if you want to learn and understand a language more clearly. Today, the importance of the cultural infiltration have been realized when teachers are teaching. But it is difficult for them to do it properly. And the instructional designs can’t fit every lesson type. It’s hard to enrich the content of English Teaching and to show the instrumental quality of English. Nowadays, we have got more possibilities, opportunities and challenges for English teaching from new media technology. We need more and more media technology when we are teaching. And information technology has fully demonstrated its superiority. The media teaching equipment has become one of the indispensable auxiliary tools for teaching.So master the way to show cultural characteristics in the course of English curriculum design in the Circumstances of New Media is an important task to us.This article will start from the practical problems and based on theory and practice. It is a study on the cultural loss in the process of English Teaching in Middle Schools. By reading and speaking as an example,two cases will be designed to solve the problem. The first one is “Reading”. According to the article of“educational exchange”, I will find out the teaching points about the Western culture. Show the students the differences between China and western countries by the use of multimedia and environmental factors. The second one is “Speaking”. According to the article of “World Memory Championships”, I will design oral English training activities for students in using of the multimedia materials. And let the students participate in activities at the same time summed up the methods and skills of their own memory. In fully use the qualities of convenience, diversity and richness of modern media technology, to make an English atmosphere. It will be useful for English teaching. Through the actual operation, the implementation of the design will be analyzed. That will be used to test case validity, pertinence and Practice. And then according to the feedback of specific issues, we can evaluate, summarize and research and correction. It is proved that information technology can provide a better teaching environment for English class. Let the students feel the good cultural atmosphere. It is conducive to the English teaching and cultural teaching. So we can get the implementation method which can adapt to the high school English teaching case.
