"Drum" is the longest in the history of Chinese music, one of the most widely used musical instruments. In a large number of ancient Chinese literature, the drum was revered as "all the music long", in the folk, "no drum not a music" Proverbs. Drum in Chinese music and even daily life, in the Chinese people’s historical and cultural life is everywhere, is an important carrier of Chinese culture. "Chinese drum" is a has been included in the list of the "national or local level of non material cultural heritage project" of folk culture, the folk traditional instrumental music performance form, with its long history and great national style and unique oriental charm is known to the world.From ancient times to the present, the music is both as a social and cultural phenomenon, or as a music class. It is always accompanied by the thought of the people of all our ethnic groups and emotional life continue to multiply, inheritance and development become people like the smell of music and art varieties and deeply rooted in the folk music of fertile soil, and always play its irreplaceable effect of social spirit. Music teaching is an important part of music teaching in primary and middle schools. "Chinese drum" emphasizes teamwork, can achieve "the students in the learning of basic knowledge and basic skills of art at the same time, pay attention to cultivate the spirit of patriotism and collectivism spirit" ("national art education development plan"). So through from the current situation of the teaching of Chinese drum rhyme music curriculum research and development to develop pupils’national consciousness and patriotic feelings, make the Chinese nation outstanding traditional music culture continue to inheritance and development, I believe that the need to focus will continue to conscientiously study and practice research.The school-based curriculum of the Chinese drum research mainly in Hunan Province Liling City Experimental Primary School as an example, through questionnaire survey and interviews of school students, parents and teachers, understanding of the "Chinese drum rhyme" school based curriculum teaching present situation, and from the survey summary in the development of school curriculum and put forward their own opinions. Schools to "Chinese drum" as an important carrier in the primary school art education curriculum, hope that through the establishment of practice and exploration of "Chinese drum rhyme" school-based curriculum, so that students have a systematic and comprehensive understanding of the drum culture, promote the students’ initiative development; improve teachers’curriculum consciousness, the teachers as the main body to participate in the development of with the course of the management, so as to change the concept of teachers, the formation of an open, democratic and scientific teaching concept, to promote teachers’development; implementation of curriculum innovation in school, and further the formation of school characteristics, and through the curriculum implementation and development, to enable students to China ancient musical instruments-drums understand, have more profound understanding of the history of the development of folk culture has a long history in China, feelings of national consciousness and patriotic students.
