In the context of China's vigorously developing policy of “instrument into the classroom”,the author introduces African drums into the school music classroom teaching and teaches African drums as classroom instruments.According to the survey,the current African drums are mostly taught in the form of club activities in primary schools,and the experience and teaching methods of African drums as classroom instruments for music classroom teaching are relatively lacking.This paper starts with the investigation of the current situation of musical instrument teaching in primary school music classrooms,and organically combines African drums with the concepts of three teaching methods.In practice,it explores the teaching methods and teaching principles that students are willing to accept for integrated research,and innovates the teaching methods and teaching organization forms of African drum.Therefore,to improve the fun and enthusiasm of students in the learning of classroom instruments,to meet the participation needs of students at different levels in the teaching,to realize the application of African drum as an independently played musical instrument in music classroom teaching.The innovation point lies in the close connection with the actual teaching situation of music classroom musical instrument in jinan and urban primary schools,and the organic combination of African drum teaching and body rhythm,song singing,drum ring activity,drum music ensemble and other rich and varied forms to promote the development of music classroom musical instrument teaching.Let more and more teachers and students understand and use African drums to help students better feel and understand music,and improve students‘ musical literacy.
