Folk custom culture, which is common name of various custom spreading far and wide in the world, is an important part of traditional culture. In the process of Chinese teaching, we should pay full attention to the education function of folk culture. Based on the research results of other people, this thesis discussed the importance of folk culture in Chinese education. The study on folk culture of junior high students will be beneficial to enhance their sense of identity on ethnic culture, be conducive to their knowledge accumulation, be helpful to improve their aesthetic ability and promote their moral development. The secondly this thesis made detailed analysis and combing of the folk culture mentioned in middle school Chinese books of the People’s Education Press edition. The middle school Chinese textbook is paying more and more attention to absorb the folk culture which complied with the trend of the new curriculum reform. This thesis also did study about how to educate folk culture in the junior middle school Chinese teaching. There are mainly four aspects: Firstly,based on classroom and dig text content deeply. Secondly, organize the folk custom culture practice. Thirdly, combined with local characteristics to develop school-based curriculum and initiate a new course of folk culture electives.At last, improve the quality of the teacher’s folk culture.
