Mathematical concepts teaching is always the most important research subject of the studies of mathematics teaching, moreover the investigation of the mathematical concepts teaching methods and strategies also gets much attention of many researchers, and the appearance of constructivism has injected fresh blood for the traditional mathematical concepts teaching which has become an important theoretical basis of educators’ self-reflection and critically inheriting traditional teaching ideas. As constructivism advocated, educators must have full understanding of students’ pre-existing knowledge and experience, and can design dynamic teaching programme under the premise of attaching importance to individual differences, which can multi-faceted to meet the students’ need for cognition. Therefore, this paper, under the premise of the full understanding of the importance of mathematical concept and the guiding role of constructivist theory to concepts teaching, tries to through studies to provide the best strategies of high school mathematical concepts teaching, which not only can help teachers’ teaching, but also do benefits for students’ learning.The first part of this paper which starting from the teaching present situation of high school mathematical concepts teaching points out the background and significance of the studies of high school mathematical concepts teaching under the guidance of constructivist theory through looking up materials and reading the relevant literature. In the second part, we make a simple comprehensive discussion about the study of mathematical concepts teaching under the constructivism at home and abroad by the literature research method and make a superficial comment on the currently available researches, and then put forward the importance of innovative research. In the third part of this article, we have a re-understanding on mathematical concepts and mathematical concepts’ acquisition, learning and teaching under the theory of constructivism, which in order to have a better study on high school mathematical concepts teaching strategies based on constructivism. The fourth part gives specific and detailed analysis of the teaching strategies of high school math concepts under constructivism mainly based on the foregoing findings, which including pre-class analysis, the introduction, master, consolidate and systematize of mathematical concepts. Combined with the third and fourth parts’ study, we will give an overall and easy instructions instructional design of ellipse and its standard equation under constructivism in the fifth part. And we will make the theoretical study of mathematical concepts teaching under constructivism perfect through classroom teaching practice and then put forward appropriate amendments for teaching problems by analyzing the practice case. Finally, we will summarize how to better achieve the application of research findings obtained in practice. At the end of this paper, through the analysis, we put forward the problems that should be paid attention to in practice teaching and give the corresponding opinions and research reflections.
