With the development of social economy, people’s demand for talent is increasing, so the technical requirements of the selection of talents is also getting higher and higher, the construction of the item bank is particularly important. At present, the item bank has been from the early static topic storage become a quality monitoring process by the computer management of a dynamic method, the construction of item bank is also more and more diversified. In the stage of compulsory education, how to build high-quality item bank and how to evaluate the quality of the test objectively became a hot topic in the field of education.This paper attempts to use Item Response Theory as a guide, to establish an item bank by placing eighth grade science as an example,on 7 set of scientific tests for quality analysis and screening.and examine the effect of test based on item bank by actual test and analysis. The research results show that the item response theory and method can fully reflect the quality of the test questions. According to the degree of difficulty, ease to distinguish, possibility of correct guessing, along with some other indicators,1 have selected problems from a wide range and established a item bank. Based on this selection of the item bank, the test has a good effect.The study provides a new perspective and methodology for the first line teachers to effectively construct the item bank, and provides some useful inspiration and reference for the related research.This paper is divided into six parts:The first part mainly introduces the background of the research, proposed question,and discusses the purpose and significance of the study;The second part is the literature review.Through a lot of literature research,This paper expounds the present situation of the construction of item bank and the construction of item bank based on item response theory,On the basis of previous studies, this paper highlights the innovation points of this paper;The third part is the concrete research method,Firstly, by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of basic knowledge of classical test theory and the item response theory,expounding the reason of using item response theory as the construction tool of item bank.Then using Visual FoxPro and AN0TE1.6 software to estimate the parameters of the 7 papers which is collected.Mainly including the difficulty of the items, the area division of the items and guesses of the items. After the measurement, the item is selected as the next step of the measurement scale, the measured data will be analyzed, and the results will be obtained;The fourth part is the statistics and analysis,By comparing the results of the data analysis before and after screening,combining the interviews with the teachers,Explaining the feasibility of the method of building the item bank;The fifth part mainly expounds the conclusion and deficiency of this paper,The results of the study show that when the items which is selected before is tested,the reliability and validity are good.The project’s distinction is generally improved,It shows that the method is feasible;The sixth part is the summary and outlook of the full text.
