The purpose of this research is to build an item bank for NMET in Integrated First Class Schools of Kunming, using the classical test theory (CTT) and item response theory (IRT). With the responses of 1235 high school students, average age 17.7 (SD = 3.12), to a group of 75 items in the form of multiple choice as well as the subjects, the difficulty and discrimination indices were estimated. The items' characteristic curves (ICC) were also determined.
