Today, online games have become one of young people’s most popular form of entertainment, whether students or office workers can be immersed in a game. The rapid development of the Internet has contributed to the rapid development of Vietnam’s online game market, the online game has become an indispensable part of many young Vietnamese life.Since 2005, China’s online game influx one after another into Vietnam, and have achieved great success, the most representative is "Swordsman" online edition. As a "pioneer" in Vietnam market, Swordsman in Vietnam has created the "online games miracle ", once occupied more than 80 percent of Vietnam’s online game market. In contrast, the United States and South Korea game have not been so popular in Vietnam.Chinese online game "Swordsman "why can popular in Vietnam? In this paper, China’s online game " Swordsman " online version (referred to as "Jian Wang") as the research object, from marketing communication and cultural background as the objective and subjective reasons, analyzed " Swordsman " became popular, and from the success of" Swordsman " in Vietnam, to analyze the Vietnam’s online game industry existing problems and tries to put forward improvement suggestions.In detail, this paper consists of five parts. The first is the introduction, mainly asking questions, introducing the research background, significance, research methods and related concepts. The second chapter describes the overview of the Vietnamese market and "Swordsman "in Vietnam spread to comb explain its development in the Vietnamese market. The third chapter is from the perspective of marketing communications, "Swordsman "in Vietnam dissemination process, the operator of the 4P theory Vinagame specific application. The fourth chapter is mainly from the cultural point of view that is the core reason why "Swordsman" popular in Vietnam. Finally, in the above study, based on the combination of Vietnamese domestic situation, focusing on the analysis of the sword net popular phenomenon for Vietnam’s domestic network game, make suggestion for Vietnam’s domestic network game development.This paper argues that, from a cultural point of view, cultural differences small may be the cause of China’s online game popular in Vietnam, namely Vietnam and China have a stronger "cultural proximity." Vietnam and China are close neighbors, the two countries for the history of cultural exchanges to contact, share a common culture origin, on the cultural background, the Vietnamese identification of the Chinese culture, which is far less than in other countries. Many well-known Chinese martial arts in Vietnam, so the adaptation of online games will naturally popular. From marketing communications point of view, "Swordsman" can be successes in Vietnam’s online game market, actively promote the perfect design of the game, and actively promote localization marketing effect of Vietnam agents. From the "Swordsman " in contrast Vietnam’s online game industry, the paper argues that Vietnam’s online game should be improved in terms of innovation, to do their own position, pay attention to improve the level of talent, out of the shadow of foreign games. Hope this article can for Vietnam’s online game industry and the development of foreign games in Vietnam to provide corresponding reference.
