Curriculum and teaching content in higher vocational education is the Essence of educational reform, the main problem is still present the phenomenon that subject teaching is just in accordance with the framework of the education system subject,emphasizing on the theory of knowledge, ignoring vocational skills training, and there are still gaps between subject teaching and highly qualified personnel requirements of the technical skills of social economic development. Reforming the traditional vocational curriculum that emphasis on vocational education curriculum theory and curriculum theory teaching and building vocational education curriculum, which is characterized in vocational education, have been the direction of vocational education curriculum reform. Vocational education curriculum should reflect the characteristics of vocational education, that is practical and applied based. Career counseling curriculum, as a basis and a comprehensive curriculum of higher Vocational Colleges should also be different from the general characteristics of general University education. However traditional career counseling curriculum in higher Vocational Colleges, has no difference with general high education curriculum, and traditional career counseling curriculum that is characterized in book knowledge-based,classroom teaching theory has no longer meet the changes and development in social-economic development and the employment market, suited demand of vocational students for career counseling curriculum, has also been unable to meet the needs of employers for students during the school career, career quality-related capabilities. In this paper, by analyzing the current situation and problems of career counseling curriculum in Vocational Colleges, trying to learn from the project-based course model, considered with own characteristics of career counseling curriculum in higher Vocational Colleges, to reform the traditional career counseling curriculum,build practical career counseling curriculum in higher Vocational Colleges.Methods based on the literature research, questionnaire survey, interviews and case study, this article analyzed the overall situation and problems of the current traditional career counseling curriculum, with a Vocational College as proof case,reflected on the direction and path of the traditional career counseling curriculum reform, and pointed out that the project-based course has brought the dawn of the traditional career counseling curriculum. Then this article analyzed the necessity ofdrawing project-based course into career counseling curriculum, analyzed the applicability between project-based course and career counseling curriculum. And based on the principles of project-based courses, career counseling curriculum combined with its own characteristics, this article reformed and developed five aspects of career counseling curriculum in Vocational Colleges: curriculum objectives,curriculum content, teaching methods, teaching staff and curriculum evaluation.
