Geography teaching mode plays a significant role in the geography teaching practice and builds a bridge of communications between teaching theory and teaching practice.With the development of education information and the need of innovative teaching mode,geography teaching mode research is of great importance to current reforms of geography curriculum and smooth implementation of the geography teaching process.At present how to keep with the rapid development of geography education,to integrate elements effectively,and give full play to overall functionality of geography teaching system are key points of geography teaching mode research.Based on geography information technology,this paper analyzes and compares current applications of geography teaching mode in teaching process,thus puts forward a new geography teaching model which is content oriented.Construction of geographic information teaching mode is the main theory of the “Guiding-Dominated” teaching theory,so the author constructs the teaching mode,can make the teachers play a leading role,and can fully respect the students’ main body role.This paper mainly adopts literature research,questionnaire investigation and case analysis.Through to the existing literature, defines the information technology and curriculum integration,the concept of “leapfrog”teaching mode,and from two aspects of modern learning theory and teaching theory discusses the theory of building a “leapfrog” teaching mode;Using questionnaire survey,part of dezhou city middle school teachers and students were investigated,the result shows that there exist in junior high school geography teaching information technology in the classroom efficiency is low,the teachers have a relatively low geography information literacy,;Based on geographical information technology status of the research, analysis of “leapfrog”teaching mode compared with other existing advantages,and from the build dimensions such as idea,the overall design and concrete operation comprehensive study of its feasibility,a new mode of thinking and scheme is put forward in regional geography teaching,for example,to the practice of the teaching mode of “leapfrog”case study, then summarizes and induces the geography teaching mode problems should be paid attention to in practice,reflection in the study is not enough,and put forward in the direction of further research on the basis of this study.
