An Analysis Of The Competition Results Of The Middle And Long Distance Running Events In The Sixth National Teachers' College Games In Qinghai And Northwest

It has been nearly 30 years for colleges and universities in China set up high level sports teams, which not only added many new vitality to many colleges and universities, but also effectively improved the college students’ love for sports, enriched the campus sports cultural life, as well as increased competitive level of college sports, cultivated a batch of a group of highly educated talented person with high competitive ability, and thus strongly promote the vigorous development of school sports. The reserved talented person has made great achievements in different competitions in China.But compared with the international excellent grades, these achievements is a little bit of disappointing. Furthermore, considering the large number of high level athlete team of colleges and universities in China, these achievements still are lay behind far with the requirement of Sports Bureau of the People’s Republic of China Ministry of Education, that is " participating in the World University Games and major international and domestic sports competition, contributing to our country’s Olympic plan and china’s sustainable development of competitive sports".Both Qinghai normal university and northwest normal university athletics high level sports teams were established in 1987.The two universities have achieved some proud achievements in various games in China. Over the years, under the support of the National Ministry of Education, Qinghai provincial Sports Bureau and provincial Department of Education, the two universities has attended consecutively six times of the National Normal Universities Sports Game and won good prizes with gold, silver and bronze medals. The result shows that two universities has edge in middle-long-distance project, but on the overall level, two schools still have a certain gap when compared with other high level sports teams in other colleges and universities in ChinaThe goal of Track and field goal is to surpass rivals and get gold medal. As a result, the core is to grasp the best opportunities to get the best result. Middle-distance race is a typical endurance project, which requires athletes must have a good ability of aerobic metabolism, mixed aerobic, anaerobic metabolism capacity, anaerobic metabolism capacity as well as the high level of physical quality. Therefore, good physical quality and scientific system of training and reasonable tactical arrangements are sure to help improve the performance of middle-long-distance.This article taking high level athletes in middle-distance race in Qinghai Normal university and Northwest Normal university as subject to investigate did a Comparative analysis on performance of Middle-long-distance Race between Qinghai Normal University and Northwest Normal University in the 6th teachers college sports by using the method of documentary, expert interview, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and other research methods.The thesis strives to find the advantage deficiencies of the middle-long-distance project. By comparing the characteristics of two universities’ projects, the article aims to build up experiences in order to improve the performance of middle-long-distance sports; With the help of comparative analysis on two school performance, the thesis first tries to look for the gap between these two universities and other universities in the national sports meeting, thus accordingly improve the weak points; second, by means of comparison for the advantages of endurance training in the highlands of special geographic conditions, promote the development of other projects, third through the comparison study on the management, the recruitment of students as well as the way to deal with learning and training, promote sustainable development of the two schools high level track team. The results show that:1.Since both Qinghai Normal University and Northwest Normal University located in the plateau area, the special geographical environment helps the development of middle-long-distance endurance project with sports grades of medium to high level among the Normal Universities in China.2. Two universities’ advantages mainly lie in men’s 1500 m, 5000 m, 10000 m, and northwest normal university is more prominent in these three projects, but Qinghai Normal University enjoys more advantages in two projects of 3 km and 5 km walk.3. The recruitment channels. Qinghai Normal University has three channels enrolling various levels of athletes; but Northwest Normal University only recruit athletes with athletic achievement of above the h first level.4. Qinghai normal university has a good management organization, but lacks funding on training because of lags in economy, however Northwest Normal University has supporting funds on participating games, thus the team shoulders light burden.5. Contradiction between Learning and training is prominent. Qinghai Normal University has strict requirement on academic learning, which leads to the inefficiency in the training, and therefore the unsatisfied result in the competitions; but since the task of training in Northwest Normal University is conducted by professional training team, so their performance is excellent, but their academic performance is poor.1. Make full use of the geographical advantages of plateau; continue to guarantee the advantage of middle-long-distance project in the national normal competition; increase the funds investment. Such as: reward elite athletes, increase training allowance, etc.2. Expansion enrollment channel. Use the existing policy, coordinate actively with Qinghai Provincial Sports Bureau, set up a student base, thus ensure unimpeded recruitment channels of athletes, put forward the free-tuition policy for the excellent athletes with athletic achievement above level one, and ensure scholarship for them.3. Contradiction between learning and training. Draw lessons from Northwest Normal University, considering the heavy training game of elite athletes, their academic study can be conducted in flexible ways, etc.4. Providing good coaches to those advantaged projects. Invite professional coach to give regular instruction so as to guarantee rapid increase of the performance.5. Enhance the innovative ability of research on training. Encourage teachers majoring in the middle distance sports participate into the research on training, athlete-election and management. Set up separately funds to support the research on the athletics team.
