Object:Executive function as human cognitive process more and more receives the attention of people became a hot issue of cognitive development research. Childhood is the development period of executive function, it is the children complete their studies smoothly and adapt to all kinds of social relations. In recent years, the study found that the individuals perform functions can be trained or intervention to improve. Rural left-behind children due to a lack of family management and supervision, resulting in a series of problems receive the attention of the whole society; to ignore their health will lead to social disharmony. However, lack of long-term ererciseintervention study of executive functions of children left behind in rural areas, affecting the development and physical activity as a means of improving the implementation of the function and application of science.Purpose:In this study, rural children left behind as the research object. According to the characteristics of the development of rural children left behind design football programs can improve their executive function. And experimental study eight weeks of football affect the results of rural children left behind to executive function, provide theoretical and practical basis for the use of sport to promote the implementation of intervention programs function development of rural children left behind. Methods:Screening 60 rural children left behind pupils from Huaian camp in fourth grade. Randomly assigned to one class for the experimental group (30 people), another class of the control group (30 people), all subjects are used in the original class as a unit interference. By screening questionnaire related to finalize an effective capacity of 21 people in the experimental group and control group of 20 people. Intervention group for a period of eight weeks of football teaching intervention while the control group of normal learning. By Flanker test、1-back test、 More-odd shifting test to test the student’s change in executive function. Results:By 8 weeks of football intervention, students in the experimental group complete flank test the reaction time is reduced (F(1,39)=7.51,P=0.009<0.01). Correct rate is improved (p=0.00); complete 1-back test the reaction time is reduced (F(1,39)=27.42,P<0.01).Correct rate no change (p=0.318). complete more-odd shifing test the reaction time is reduced (F(1,39)=8.37,P=0.006<0.01); Correct rate is improved (p=0.007)Conclusion:8 weeks of football sports can improve executive function of left-behind children. Also promote the executive function of the three sub-functions (inhibition, refresh, conversion).
