This essay is about a systematic research on physics-teaching rules and syllabus, which is based on the main characteristics of teaching purposes and tasks in physics in middle school. It puts forward some important points mainly in two aspects: First, according to the author's thorough quantification and statistics of the recent eight years?national entrance examination papers for physics, it makes a further discussion on the current physis-teaching demands and thus sums up the general teaching methods for physics in the middle school. Second, basing on the author's detailed?quantification, statistics and analysis of the examination papers for physics of Xianning City in spring, 2000, it makes an exhaustive study in the current situation about the teaching of physics, and in the students?obstacles to their thinking and studying in physics. Hence, it also sums up the ways to deal with such situations?and the trend in physics-teaching reform in future.
