Education is the base of a country. Vocational education is an important composition of the modern education, which plays a crucial role in the process of a country抯 industrialization, socialization of producing and modernization. Cooperative education was developed to meet the needs of the modern industry and vocational education, but time of being executed differs in the different country because of the level of the industrialization and vocational education. The term 揅ooperative education?was first introduced by American, German and American are the first countries which cooperative education was executed. It has been almost a century since the cooperative education was first launched in America in 1906, which is critical to the vocational education and social advancement. The dissertation will examine the cooperative education of American on the view of the history, clarify?its characteristics and the effect after World War 11, analyzes dialectically the status and role of the three main factors in the process of the cooperative education, so as to provide some valuable experiences for the enterprises and schools where the vocational education was conceived.
