Higher education is facing more and more pressures, these pressures come from many organizations, students, parents, business, industry, taxpayers, decision makers and certification organizations. As more and more students and parents put entering the university as the primary purpose in their future career, by participating in cooperative education brought the benefits of the internship experience is becoming increasingly prominent.Cooperative Education is a combination of enterprise, school and institute in personnel training in the concrete embodiment. This education model utilizes two kinds of education, school and social environment, reasonable arrangements for the theory courses and social practice, so that students batter acquire knowledge ,understand the society, build capacity, improve the quality. Cooperative Education originated in the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries, it was the inevitable result of socio-economic, political, and cultural development. The fundamental difference with the traditional mode of education is that it is closely linked with the economy and society, so the outset by social and educational attention. Since 1985, some Chinese institutions begin to study the experience from University of Waterloo in Canada about using the mode of"one year of three semesters, Alternating work and study " to trial the cooperative education, after that many schools have begun to explore new ways of cooperative education. On this basis, the Ministry of Education issued"the notice regarding the development of Cooperative Education'9.5'work'in 1997, and put it out in this world bank loan in the 21st century higher education reform projects.This article attempts to sort out the development of cooperative education to introduce concrete implement measures of the U.S. colleges and universities so as to provide a reference and experience for our college.This first part, Introduction section: Firstly, from the present situation of the country's current analysis of the employment situation, according to the substance of their employment pressure, put forward the important role of Cooperative Education. Moreover, describes the status quo of the United States colleges and universities to implement cooperative education, pointing out that the training model of China's colleges and universities urgent need to innovation, while the co-culture of enterprise,school and institute is an important way of innovation.The second part of the article describes the historical development of cooperative education and introduces the United States University of Cincinnati, and finally describes the cooperative education instructor and professional practice program.The last part of the article summarizes the current situation in China and the inspiration from the United States, and get some inspiration and advice with the existent issues.
