The thesis has explored on the strategy of developing students innovative qualities by penetrating innovation education in the process of English teaching in senior middle school and by improving English teaching method of communication. The first part of this article gives the title and reason of this research subject and a brief introduction to the present condition of the research in China and foreign countries. In the second part of this article, the author expounds some relative concepts: innovation, innovation education, innovative qualities, innovative spirit, innovative ablity, innovative personality, and the English teaching method of communication. In the third part, the author mainly elaborates how to penetrate innovation education in the process of teaching English in senior middle school and achieve the goals of developing students innovative qualities. The author stresses the five points: 1 .to form the thought of penetrating innovation education into English teaching. 2. to follow the basic law of English teaching and making innovation education. 3. to improve the teaching environment, English teaching and English communication. 4. to analyze commonly used teaching appoaches: the ethos of heuristic, discussing, acting and exploring. 5. to accumulate the basic five regulations which must be followed in the education of developing students innovative quality: (1) to ensure students center role to develop everyone personality; (2) to continue teachers guiding role; (3) to stress the key points at the basis of complete teaching. (4) to keep the regulation of following proper order and advancing gradually, and combine it with practice. (5) to relate the rule of goal stimulating with the mechanism of evaluation strengthening.
