From Methodology Development And Characteristics Of Primary And Secondary Education Reform In Sichuan

A Study on the Developments and Characteristics of Educa- tional Reform Research in Primary and middle schools in Sichuan Province from the Perspective of Methodology Abstract The educational reform research in primary and middle schools (ERRPMS) refers to the research activities which aim at probing and solving problems about education and didactics in ordinary middle schools, primary schools, intermediate normal schools and vocational schools. The carrying out of ERRPMS plays an important part in im- proving the quality of teaching and professional skills, helping students grow afl round , and facilitating the educational reform. Though great achievements have been made in ERRPMS in Siehuan Province since the enforcement of open policy, the scientization of ER- RFMS such as its implication, characteristics, symbols, influential fac- tors and so on has always been the hot issue. People discuss this issue from many different aspects and perspectives , and at the same time they all reached a common , deep theoretical problem, which is the methodol- ogy of educational reform research. For this reason , this paper , from the perspective of methodology, applies the methods such as documents analysis, cotents analysis, sam- ples, survey, visit and discuss , etc. , attempts to study systematically and deeply the important theoretical and practical problems of ERRPMS and make basic theoretical conclusions about ERRPMS in Sichuan Province, in order to enhance the level of scicntization and promote ERRPMS to develop healthily, deeply and continually in Sichuan Province. This paper breaks into four parts: Part Ⅰ discusses and analyses the notion of methodology at first and further reveals its nature to provide a theoretical base for analyzing the developments and characteristics of ERRPMS in Sichuan Province. Part Ⅱ focuses on the development process of ERRPMS in Sichuan Province since the enforcement of open policy. Part Ⅲ expounds the characteristics of ERRPMS in Sichuan Province from six aspects and finally su nmarizes its methodology charac- teristics on this basis Part Ⅳ concerns about the future development of ERRPMS in Sichuan Province and puts forward some feasible methods for ERRPMS.
