Realization Of Personalized Multimedia Online Classrooms

With the fast development of Internet, people prefer learning based on net to traditional learning in classroom. It promotes distance learning based on web consequently. However, because of the discrepancy resulting from the essential difference among different students and the simplex pattern of current distance learning system, students cannot learn according to their needs actively. No matter content, time and space which in the course of education, students must be the cores. They can select, dispatch and control their learning. So it can lead to efficient using educational information and teach according to what the students are good at. And students' control of the learning was changed from passiveness to act on their own.In order to solve this problem, we present a new personalized distance learning model combined with the concept of personalized digital service, narrating the principle and structure of the personalized multimedia web classroom. On the base to analysing some kinds of connecting technology for web database, we advance the idea and scheme for this system, realizing a personalized distance learning system which can run on WWW, discussing some generally problems of the speed for transfers on the web and the solution. With the fast development of web technology, computer technology, information technology and educational theory, web education will be personalized and pertinence in the future. We can foresee that the personalized distance learning model would breath into energy for web distance education.
