Chemistry is a subject based on experiments. Chemical Experiments can help students form chemicalconcepts, inspire interest of study, consolidate chemical knowledge, obtain chemical experiment skill, and train their serious attitude and precise method of seeking truth from facts.This research mainly reports the theory of chemical experiment teaching modernization (CETM) in high school and the application of modern chemical experiment contents in middle school. It has three parts altogether. The first part is mainly the theory of CETM in high school. Deeply from the modernization of education, discipline education and chemistry teaching, we probe into the necessity and feasibility of CETM, and also discuss the scientific meaning and research directions of CETM in high school.The second part includes the practical research of CETM in high school. And it particularly emphasizes on application of modern chemical experiments in teaching of middle school. Modern chemical experiments are designed from the latest development of modern chemistry (including theory, notion, equipment, instrument and method ) rationally combined with chemical experiment teaching of middle school. The purpose of the practical study is to examine the feasibility of modern chemical experiments applied in teaching of the middle school, and also to find out the influence to teaching and students.There are our conclusions and thoughts in the last part. Through the theoretical study, we think it is possible and important for realizing the modernization of chemical experiment teaching in middle school. The scientific meaning of CETM in high school is a changing process including teaching theory, contents of courses, teaching patterns, instruments and evaluation under the backgrounds of education modernization and the latest development in modern chemistry, which is taking pedagogy and psychology as theoretical foundation. Its main purpose is to promote quality-oriented education and train students' creative consciousness. After practical activities, we conclude that it is successful to have designed some modern chemical experiments firstly. At the same time, if we wish modern chemical experiment contents to be applied in chemical experiment teaching, we should adopt the activities which students participate in a high degree including the lecture cooperating with chemical experiments, exploratory student experiments, visit and debate competition, etc. At last we found that introduction of modern chemical experiments to teaching in middle school could widen students' vision and have a good facilitation in training their scientific accomplishment. At the end of the thesis, it's my own views and suggestions to solve the problems during the theory and practice study.
