The 21st century is an era full of choice, "choice, which isn't submitted stubbornly or followed blindly, will become a kind of 'daily behavior' in people's value lives, including moral life in the new century." Faced with the moral maze with wrong ways everywhere, people must choose and learn how to choose. "The freedom", given by the new era, would be considered as the trap in moral lives rather than a Gospels in it for the people who aren't good at choosing. Therefore, cultivated by the traditional and authoritative social moral life, the "passively obeying" moral personality can no longer adapt itself to the development of society. The fostering of students' moral personality of autonomous choice has been put into schedule. The thesis makes a systematic exposition in the definition. The thesis consists of five parts:Part I . The arising of the question and the definition of the concept: A new moral concept and moral faith ought to be cultivated to meet the requirements of society. The thesis proposes that the fostering of moral personality of autonomous choice is the very faith and goal of the present moral education. Two new definitions, that is, "moral personality of autonomous choice" and "moral personality education of autonomous choice" will be further elaborated theoretically in the thesis.Part II . The background, basis and possibility: The era to make choice" has come. The real moral lives in China call the moral personality of autonomous choice, for which the thought of "moral personality of subjectivity" provides the theoretic proof, and the human nature of longing for freedom provides the solid basis.Part III. The construction: The psychological component in the moral personality of autonomous choice ought to contain the4sense and the internal demand, the excellent moral intuition and ability of autonomous choice , including the moral judgment, the self-control and the individual endurance.Part IV . The reform of moral education environment: Moral education environment is the external factor to form students' moral personality. Due to its segregation, exclusion and compulsory control, the traditional moral education environment is to come to its end. The moral education concept ought to be changed, the system of the management has to be improved, and a comprehensive effect of school, society and family must be achieved. A new opening, democratic moral environment must be created.Part V. Autonomous construction: Autonomous construction is the internal dynamic, which should guarantee the formation of moral personality of autonomous choice, which is conformable to the original meaning of education and also the moral education. The goal can't be fulfilled until the moral education combines the inducement of value, strengthens the students' autonomous activities and tries best to return the real life to students.
