Since the decision of building up China characteristic socialist market economy in the Party's 14th congress, the conception has gradually immersed in every field of the society. Economy is the social foundation and the economy system reform is to have influence on all kinds of social system and institution. After entry of WTO, such reform is emergent. With the rapid change of the society, schools must reform spontaneously, which will give the school principals more requests, meanwhile the principal management must accommodate with social reform. So era calls for principal vocation -alize. The discourse is divided into five parts as follows:The first part is prelude, which introduces the background and its significance, research methods, summarizing the main contents of the article, with relavence to the concept such as profession and vocation, professionalization and vocationalization.The second part is necessity and probability of the principal vocationalization, Principal vocationalization arises from a certain social environments and education reform, analyzing in three dimensions: society changes, education reform, and developmental request of the principle occupation. Which helping to understand the necessity and probability of the necessity and probability of the principal vocationalization.The third part is the quality of the vocational principal. Principal vocationalization of should first define the norms of the principal's vocational qualifications, which makes clear the quality of the vocational principal. The article, from three scopes: the past research about the issue in our country, the request about the issue at home and abroad, as well as the issue of vocational managers. Then investigate principal with their think about the quality of excellent principal, analyzing some view about the quality of vocational principal and putting forward some view about the quality of the principal.The fourth part compare and assessment the management of the principals abroad and home, which helps to speculate to set up the management system of the vocational principals, meanwhile analyzing and making comparison about the selection, training, assessment and salary of the principal abroad and home, then giving brief comments.The fifth part gives the speculation about the principal vocationalization. Principal vocationalization is a new thing from the reform of the social politics, economy, cultural background and has a long way to go, with many factors affecting and restricting its development. Further reform is needed to create a better environment for it In the article, to impede and satisfy the principal vocationalization. some measures should be taken: reforming conception , cultivating the vocational principal personnel market, constructing systems of encouragement and controlling of the vocational principals.
