The fast development and fine campus culture construction are more or less related with everyone in the school.Especially, the role of the school president has been strengthened by president responsibility system and consequently the principal cultural construction become a key element in school development. Fine principal culture is conducive to the stability and sustainable development of our education, the normal operation of our school organization,new curriculum reform for better education. It is also beneficial for improving the oval quality of the presidents to become novel educators of the21th century, advancing their leadership and cultural management and above all enriching their theories and experiences of school management. It is found that there are several problems in present principal cultural analysis: theoretical analysis is not enough, practical aspect is relatively limited, many presidents are indifferent to principal cultural awareness whose construction is immature and self consciousness is rare, which results to the half accomplishment of the mission of principal culture. So, principal culture has emerged to the call of the time and become required for presidents of the new century.Taking the importance of principal culture to school development and the principal culture of the sixth middle school in T county as an example, this thesis explores into the connotation and function of principal culture; inquires the present practice of and confusions faced by principal culture; analyses the great importance of principal culture in the development of the sixth middle school of T county; describes faithfully the forming process of principal culture of the sixth middle school of T county; summarizes the successful experiences of the construction of principal culture; proposes some advices on the construction of principal culture for the hope of contribution.This research demonstrates the connotation and function, implementation process and result of principal culture from three aspects of principal conceptual, behavioral and material culture with the first hand data from case study in which interview, observation and literature study is used and come to the conclusion of the identification of principal culture which means a kind of culture that is gradually formed and generally accepted in the long process of school management under the principal leadership. This article demonstrates and explores with the method of linking theory with practice, analyses and discusses the data by the way of theoretical analysis, proposes some countermoves and advises of principal culture construction.
