Math Frustration on study is one of the objects of psychological science , but it is associated with education and math instruction closely. Although frustration has been widely studied overseas and in China, math frustration on study hasn' t been found . In this thesis, We first give a comprehensive description about math frustration on study, such as its definition, its causes, different types and so on. Then, a survey was made among 753 junior middle school students from grade one to grade three in six schools in Shanghai with an adapted Math frustration on study questionnaire. The results are as following:(1) the students' Math frustration on study had a moderate type, and there are differences between grades, sex and achievements. (2) Among the causes of students' Math frustration on study, teachers' evaluation styles, students' self-cognition and other elements are playing important roles. At last, We adopt "encourage evaluation" in one class and use "redesigned evaluation" in another class to decrease math frustration on study. The results of the experiment show that the two methods arepracticable to bring down math frustration on study.
