With the rapid development of globalization and the reforming and opening, everyone faced more and more pressure from competition, also more and more frustration. Without strong frustration tolerance and frustration coping capability, the frustration can’t be handled very well. Then to keep the mental health and to have the happy life is impossible. Even the competitive power of our country can be improved. So it is necessary to put effort on frustration and frustration education study. But there is not enough study for the primary school students. It is one important period for child’s psychological development and frustration education is very critical for frustration tolerance and frustration coping capability. The study shall be performed based on the features of the primary school students so that the proper method will be found to improve their frustration tolerance and frustration coping capability.From reviewing the domestic and foreign documents about stress and coping, frustration and frustration education theory, it is found only a few study focused on frustration situation and frustration coping style of the primary school students. Thus three questions the study will focus on. The first is about the main frustration source of the students. The second is about the frustration coping style of the students. The third is about the frustration education method to improve the students’frustration tolerance and frustration coping capability.To answer the main questions, in this study, first of all, the special questionnaires for the primary school students’frustration situation and frustration coping style were setup and revised based the domestic and foreign reference. And they are tested and modified for better quality. They are good at reliability and validity and used for the later study in this paper. Then, one questionnaire survey is performed in six typical schools for the600primary school students in Tian Jin and the statistic analysis is performed for the investigation results. It is found the main sources of frustration of primary school students. They have some degree frustration. And they have some certain capability of frustration copying and tend to act in positive frustration copying style. In most situations, no obvious difference of frustration is found from sex, age and residence dimensions, but some difference in frustration coping style can be found. It further points out frustration education is necessary for the students. And then the related theory of story therapy and guidance is reviewed, which support that story guidance could help the primary school students well in frustration education. The plan of story guidance and verification experiment is setup and then performed. Finally, from the statistic analysis of the data from the comparison between test and control group before and after the experiment, it is found that less frustration the students have in test group, less fancy and self reproach copying style the students prefer in test group and the story guidance method’s effect is proved. The answers for the three main problems are given.This paper answers three meaningful questions about the primary school students’ frustration education through the study for the students’ frustration situation, frustration coping style and story guidance. And it also gives the suitable questionnaire, valuable data and detailed method of story guidance. It is helpful for further study and frustration education practice.
