Chengdu Population Modernization

"Modern", is an opposite of "tradition". With regard to its meanings, it points to this age. "Modernization" is a dynamic concept, and it is an unending process.From the basic request of the "people orientated", the research on population modernization plans to solve answer the following problems. On one hand, how population development adapts to social economic progress; On the other hand, how to realize excellent population development in social economic development. What's more, how to realize the general progress. Therefore, the population modernization is a process of population development adapting to the request of economic society. The population modernization constitutes of four subsystems of population modernization, such as the population reproduction modernization, the population quality modernization, the population structure modernization and the population fertility modernization.Since reform, all the population and economic society has made great development. The advanced enterprise is animate, producing further liberation, and people's life quality is further enhanced. But huge population is the most important and actual problem that Chengdu is faced with. It is also an important problem that market economy development has been faced with over a long period of time, and it plays a key role in the economic and social development. In the future, Chengdu population modernization will still confront with many difficulties and challenges.Beyond any doubt, if we neglect these problems and do not adopt the measures to solve them, Chengdu's population problem will turn worse. This can bring larger pressure on the population development target. In the perfecting process of socialism market economy system, Chengdu's unbalanced economic development with social development will exist over a long period of time. The complexity of population and development will be in existence. Therefore, research on population modernization will play a positive role to recognize and resolve the problems.This thesis consists of four parts:Chapter One is the theoretical basis of this thesis. It reviews the research history of population modernization theory. After an introduction for population modernization theory, it also puts forward population modernization index sign system that can be quantitative disposed of and internationally comparable. The new measure index system constitutes four subsystem indices of population modernization. Chapter Two analyzes Chengdu's current condition of population modernization and existing problems from various aspects using many statistics data. Firstly, it analyzes Chengdu's present level of population modernization with population modernization index sign system. Secondly, by the comparative analysis, it finds out the problems of Chengdu's population modernization. Finally, it analyzes the causes of the problems of the current population modernization.Chapter Three puts forward the measures to solve the problems of Chengdu's population modernization. Firstly, aiming at the problem that population scale continuously extends, it puts forward the moderation population project. Then, aiming at the unbalanced condition of city population distributing, it puts forward the reasonable population distributing project. Finally, aiming at the low quality of the whole population in Chengdu, the author puts forward the measures to completely enhance the quality of the population of chengdu.
