Poverty is a problem confronting the world. The human kind faces with the tasks of antipoverty which concerns everyone. How to eliminate the poverty in villages , among other things , is the most arduous historical mission in China, people have found some ways to relieve poverty from offering money and goods to strengthen ability to acquire resources and to acquire resources and opportunity. The author thinks that only when we improve our own blood forming function can we come to strong physique. Therefore this article elucidates the antipoverty from the point of view of demography including the quantity, quality and structure of the population.First, the background and aim of the research are expounded in introduction. Then the theory of demography is constructed for the purpose of poverty and antipoverty. Absolute poverty and relative poverty is defined before a series of its measuring indexes are pointed out. The frame of sustaining development of population is set up on the basis of the analysis of the western demography theory about poverty and the combination with the reality of Chinese poor people in poor rural area. In chapter 3, the situation of population and economy, population and environment, population and resources, population and industry structure are discussed together with their outstanding issue. In chapter 4, the tendency is revealed which concerns the ratio of poverty occurring and its gap expanding. The inner mechanism and regularity between population increasing and poverty intensifying are analysed in chapter 5, which aims at antipoverty and proper population scale. In chapter 6, the circumstances of labour power resources and the emphasis of exploiting from the abundant labour resources, low healthy qualities and backward educational level. In chapter 7, the feature of poor population in rural area is analysed emphatically which reflects antipoverty, population migration and population urbanization.
