Aiming at the problems in the teaching of reading ,the standard of Chinese curriculum in the daytime obligatory education in 2001 demands that the students should "utilize the library or the internet to conduct explorative reading actively." Though this teaching method has attracted people's wide attention and has been provided with some theories and practice, it is still an unresolved job for penetrating into studying the basic connotation and the pattern or the strategy of the practice. In view of these facts, the thesis tries to make some explorations.一,The connotation and the theories of the teaching for reading characterized by exploration. Based on the theory of exploration, the view of postmodern curriculum and constructivism, these theories mix into the entirety that let the teaching of reading go out of the narrow field of vision as the utilization of educational psychology, and begin to apply several subjects to explain its infinite meaning. And when the students go deep into the version to feel, taste, and explore, fill into its blank spot creatively, they can construct the new meaning of the version, explain the phenomenon and the problems in the teaching of reading, and provide the new method for resolving the kinds of problems and deepening its reformation.二, The characteristics of the teaching for reading characterized by exploration . The theory features itself with subjective exploration, cooperative dialogue, innovative development, and attentive process. Among them, subjective exploration is the essential characteristic distinguishing it from other teaching, cooperative dialogue is the foundation of the implementation of teaching, innovative development is the key of the theory, and the characteristics of the attentive process indicates the idea of the whole teaching. These characteristics have their emphases respectively while they are unified to reveal the basic study direction.三, The pattern of the teaching for reading characterized by exploration. Thepattern of teaching is the intermediary segment applying the teaching theory to practice. Limited to the capability and the length of the thesis, we only study the teaching functional goal, the teaching procedure.The theory of teaching must have the explicit teaching goal, or it will abort. The goal of the explorative reading of the teaching mainly orientates three dimensionalities: the first is to emphasize its capability and intellective goal, the second is to emphasize its method goal, and the third is to emphasize its sensibility goal. Studying the teaching procedure, we aim at the supplying of the idea to the teaching practice, making the explorative teaching of reading indicate its soul. We think that explorative teaching of reading includes four phases: preparation, introductive exploration, thorough exploration, and the ending exploration. These four phases indicate the sequence of the teaching of reading, composing a relatively integrity.四,The strategy of the teaching for reading characterized by exploration. Based on the theory and the characteristics, the strategy of teaching is a series of measures to achieve its goal. We can adopt different strategies in the different phases because of different tasks and features. The primary phase is the whole cognition promoting exploration. The strategy can be divided into two steps: one is to create the study circumstance, activating explorative think, the other is the wholly sentiment, grasping exlporative direction. The junior phase is the microcosmic promoting exploration, which can be divided into two steps: one is to illumine students' imagination, exlporating the blank spot, the other is to train students' language feeling, explorating details. The senior phase is the wholly grasption promoting exploration, which is the summary and distillation of the former two phases. It incorporates that: one is the debate in the talk, the other is the sentiment in the writing. Thereby, the explorating of students' goes from simple to complexity, from faintness to clearance,...
