Based on statistical analysis of the questionnaire survey to 204 peasant samples in Suizhou Hubei province and cases interview meterial, this research paper focused on how the Rural Primary Group(RPG) effects on agricultural technology communication. Classified by opinion position, it further deals with the function of PRG, its inner and outer communication structure and interaction relationships. The relative theories of sociology and communication and multiple methods of social statistics are deployed in the research.Some new conclusions have been reached through the research: As a main information channel, an important social support and social pressure source and a decision-making reference system, the RPG is an essential elementary of agricultural technology communication; The RPG members have gradational opinion status and different communication resources and effects; Opinion leader is the core of the RPG's inner communication as well as the information medium and the final checkup guard man between the group and outer environment; Rural Secondary Group (RSG)'s influences on PRG are realized by opinion leader. Main problems of China RPG's communication of agricultural technology at present are: Firstly, communication depends on opinion leader too much ; Secondly, opinion leader doesn't give its function into full play ; Thirdly, effective information interaction is lacked between RPG and PSG.In conclusion, the necessary control to PRG should be strengthened by organizationed system and benefit mechanism. It is necessary to improve farmers' overall quality and cultivate good opinion leader in RPG. The RPG's control to inner communication has a tendency of avianization; And a good outer environment including market and information are requested.
