Class is the essential unit of school organization, and is the most important group for students' living, is a form of organizations which show the characteristics of school. If we take concern for education and growth of students, class could not be neglected. As a part of students' physical education (PE), physical exercises after school are playing more and more important roles in increasing physical diathesis. How to bring other functions of school PE into play is another important task.To study functions of physical exercises after school, there are two methods in this thesis, which are as follows: one is to analyze the specifications by questionnaire the chief teachers. I've chosen three high schools in Siping city as objects, investigated 100 chief teachers by samples. Four is to make the analyse further by contrasting four classes, the contrast lasted a whole semester. The research tells us:There is apparently acceleration to class construction through good organized physical exercises after school. By good planned and organized physical exercises after school, cohesion of the group grows and relationship among classmates is improved. Furthermore it can decrease pessimistic mood and increase optimistic one gradually.Physical exercises after school are effective in class construction. But few chief teachers have done this intentionally, most of them did it subconsciously. Why did this happen? It is related to pressure of examinations and diatheses of the chief teachers themselves. In the end of this thesis, some advices are provided for the PE's function in the class. They are for reference of teachers and physical education theory learners.
