There're four parts in this research.. The first one is a general description of the field research., in this part ,the author shows us life in Xingzhi Primary School., the studying methods in this research and his own feelings during the research. In the second part, the author goes on with the growing of Xingzhi Primary School, forming a conclusion that "the headmaster's moral leadership comes from the growing process of the school under his leading. The author also draws a picture of the development of the basic education in the rural areas in China. In Part Three , based on the several important periods in Xingzhi Primary School's development, the author gives a clear presentation about the essence of Mr. Yang, the principle's moral leadership. Besides, the author strengthens his analysis with some fragments of Mr.Yang's leadership. In the end, the author provides five suggestions:(l)the headmaster should concentrates on every students' growing ,(2)the headmaster should hold responsibility of the whole community, that's to say ,he must be socially responsible;(3)the headmaster shouldn't consider themselves to be higher than the teachers, instead ,it's his duty to provide huge opportunities to the teachers.(4)the headmaster should try his best to bring the school to be a really excellent one;(5)the headmaster should focus his attention on self-exceeding.
