Developed A Preliminary Study Of Primary Diagnostic Test Of Basic Math Ability

In order to serve the curriculum reform of basic education, especially serve the assessment reform of school work, Tianjin Municipal Educational Admission and Examinations Authority (TAEA) developed "the Diagnostic Test System of the Students' Basic Ability". As for an embranchment of "the Research of the Diagnostics Test System of the Students' Basic Ability", this research developed a new kind of primary mathematics test to serve the curriculum reform.The thought of this reform is: The conception of this test will reduce the center status of the subject and the examination function. It will face to each student and emphasize the educational function to inspirit the students' individuation development. The target of this test will emphasize the measure of mathematics thinking method and the problem solving, reasoning and mathematics application. The content of this test will consider the need of each student, selecting the interesting and useful materials. The technique disposal of this test will adopt the Computerized Adaptive Test, using the Item Response Theory to analyze the answering information. It will carry through the Item Bank management and mark reporting by combining the Classical Test Theory and the Item Response Theory. The result presenting of this test will use the school work diagnosing reports to provide the feedback of learning to the teachers and students.This thesis has finished the following research work: Composing the assessment framework of this test; Particularizing the request and feature of the test proposition; Cooperating with the staff room of Dagang section and Hexin section for proposition and trial; Using the test information to diagnose and value the teaching process and result and designing the School Report and Student Report.Because of the limitation of the time limit, many items of this research can't open out thoroughly. Such as the application of the IRT on Workout Quality Analyzing of Test Questions Test Equating, the theory and technique of the construction of Item Bank and the developing and applying of the Computerized Adaptive Test. We will cooperate with the experts of Jiangxi Normal University to study the application of IRT and cooperate with the computer software company to go on studying the Computerized Adaptive Test system.
