In recent years,many researchers and front-line teachers have found that in the process of mathematical problem-solving,students generally have problems in reading problems,resulting in wrong problems or inability to solve problems.So it is particularly important to study students' mathematical reading ability,and the preparation of mathematical reading ability test scale suitable for specific school-age students is the basis and key to further study their mathematical reading ability.Therefore,based on the item response theory,this thesis aims to compile a test scale that can accurately measure the mathematics reading ability of junior two students,in order to develop the mathematics reading ability test scheme into a universal test.By understanding the current cognitive level and learning status of junior middle school students in a district of Q City,and interview front-line teachers about the relevant factors affecting junior middle school students' mathematics reading ability.Combined with the relevant literature,seven factors affecting students' mathematical reading ability are sorted out as the item dimension index of the test scale to compile the test scale items.This thesis makes an in-depth study on the syllabus of the middle school entrance examination and the new curriculum standards in the test area,family compiles a set of test scale composed of 16 single choice and 8 blank filling,family tests the students of 4 junior middle schools in Q city as the subjects of the preliminary test,and inputs the measured data into SPSS,R language and other software for statistical analysis,such as model data fitting test,item and ability related parameter estimation,etc.Delete the items that do not fit the model,analyze the project quality and performance combined with the obtained parameter estimation and project characteristic curve,and then choose and modify the test questions in the scale.Finally,the modified test scale is used to formally test the students of five other junior middle schools in the city.From the data analysis,the estimated value of the subject's ability parameters,project parameters and the amount of information provided by the project to the subjects under each ability are obtained.Combined with the two parameter logical tis model,the project information function is constructed,and the project information curve and test information curve are drawn by using R software and other relevant tools.From the distribution of students' ability parameters,it can be concluded that the ability level of grade two students in this area is moderate,with a normal distribution between(-0.6,0.8).In addition,it can be observed in the project information curve that 22 items are subjects with capability parameter value(-1,1),which provide a high amount of information,which is consistent with the overall ability level of students in this area,so the test scale can accurately measure the mathematics reading ability of grade two students in this area.Finally,through the performance of students' answers to specific questions,It is concluded that the second grade students in this area have poor reading ability in Information filtering,conceptual understanding and logical reasoning,and provide corresponding teaching suggestions for front-line teachers.
