Ethical education is a vital part of performance education. It is essential to strengthen the middle school students' ethical education according to their psychological characteristics at the era during which the pedagogy is being reformed and we are building our socialism market economy. As a biology teacher, what should he or she do to take advantage of this subject, to be fit for the development of time, to keep up with time, to enhance the ethical function of this subject, is a dynamic and practical research theme in middle school.How to train the students' capability of dialectical thought? How to infuse them with patriotism? How to cultivate their biological vision and consciousness? How to carry out the education such as dialectically materialism, moral standard, collectivism, science performance, etc. In this paper, I discuss these problems based on my long practice of teaching, my study in the contents & methodology on ethical education, my acquaintance with the psychological characteristics of middle school students, and my knowledge of the details & features of biology itself.This paper has its definite goals, and is closely associated with pedagogy. I hope it will be valuable to the colleagues for reference in both theory and practice.
