Nowadays the course reform of the foundation education with the student developing is original, which has changed to pay attention to the tendency of the knowledge induction and one excessively of management before. It emphasizes that the course of foundation education wants to promote the overall development of each student and the makes a good foundation for student' life study. So 《 the course reform of the foundation education outline( try the line) 》 puts forward six basic targets.The new course puts forward some new requests for the teacher's character. 《 The course reform of the foundation education outline (try the line) 》 points out the teacher should interact with students actively and develop together, fast the student's independence, and to promote the student's study falling of character. It focus on the individual difference and satisfies different student's demand; the teacher should carry teaching creatively, and use various course resources outside or inside of school reasonably; the continues education of teachers should focus on the course reform of foundation educate etc. Facing such request, the history teacher's role can convert then.According to present condition of the history teacher and the whole request of teacher's character in the new course, this text puts forward that the history teacher needs to converter carry his role under the condition of new course. From developping the policy guarantee of the tall level teacher to the educationalcounterplan analysis of job before or after and teacher education of job field education, it puts forward some counter plan to reply the role conversion of the history teacher, it claims that everyone's should be a introspect teacher, not only because the introspect teacher is with the total requests of the course reform and according with the trend of the course curriculum development mutually, but also because the introspect teacher is essential to change the teaching method and is to develop students to have their character and to have the ability of criterion, to be a constructor of new generation socialism essential.
