Urbanization is the necessary way of the modernization in our country. It is beneficial to our country. Recently, the wave of urbanization has been rising all over the country. The quicker the urbanization process, the more farmers lost their lands. The farmers, problems are increasingly serious. Farmers lost their rights, lands and jobs and became the disadvantageous group. Many scholars paid close attention to the problem and put forward some countermeasures to resolve it. By observing the urbanization of FengCheng city in JiangXi province,thepaper tries to find out the reasons why the farmers, rights and benefits areencroached on and some way how to be encroached on, etc. Otherwise, thepaper studies the problem of farmers who lost their lands during the process ofurbanization from the countryside culture's view. Then, we can know theproblems of the farmers whose lands are expropriated. The author takes threemethods to get the paper: The first method is documents method. The authorcollects documents on the urbanization of FengCheng city mainly from thegovernment. The second is on-the-spot investigation, including participantobservation and no participant observation. Because FengCheng city is theauthor's hometown, the author can accurately investigate the urbanization ofFengCheng city and the farmers, lives. The third is interview study. Theauthor interviewed many leaders of government and some farmers who losttheir lands. The paper longitudinally studies the urbanization of FengCheng city fromthe earth expropriation to the use of farmers, compensation, and discloses someproblems during the process of the urbanization. The local government gets alot of benefits by making various local policies .The farmer committee protectsfarmers, benefits while it encroaches on farmers, benefits because it has ownbenefits. The farmers are the disadvantageous group during the process of theurbanization. Part from the reasons above, the farmers, characters are theimportant reason why the farmers' problems exist. The author hopes theconclusions of the paper can help protect the farmers, benefits and rights, andcan be consulted by FengCheng city and other areas of our country.
