Learning mathematic rules is the bridging from accepting ma thematic concepts to solving real mathematic problems; it's one of the critical phases in high school mathematics learning. Success in learning mathematic rules is a great achievement in high school mathematics learning, the success will result in the perfection of students' cognition structure and improvement of students' cognition capability as well. In face of a mathematic rule, an individual constructs thinking, and then makes a construction result; while this construction result is verified and modified in the applications of the mathematic rule, the individual gradually masters the mathematic rule and its correlated rule networks. In this process, the individual constructs, enriches and perfects his or her cognition structure. This is the essence of learning mathematic rules. Based on this essence, the writer proposed and studied four phases in learning mathematic rules, i.e., rules orientation, rules verification, rules application and rules enforcement. Originating from the four phases, the writer proposed six corresponding approaches to the teaching of mathematic rules, i.e., environment constructing approach, communizing and forming combination approach, researching and accepting approach, verifying from multi point of view and multi paths approach, rule networks constructing approach, comprehending and memorizing combination approach, etc. After the study of the proposed teaching approaches, the writer explored corresponding strategies to implement these approaches, they are environment constructing strategy, problem exploring strategy, activating and proliferating strategy, multi-path verifying strategy, successive improving strategy, students' knowledge-base improving strategy, transformation applying strategy, etc. In the last section, the writer reviewed and analyzed several real cases in teaching and learning of the mathematic rules.
