Project learning is a completely new teaching approach as a result of quality-oriented-education and consideration for originality. The development of students is the focus of project learning in which students take an active part and this enables them to solve problems on their own. It's fair to say that project learning is a great breakthrough in our country's elementary education reform, which is in line with the scientific perspective of reform, and it has caused a sensation. Project learning is first applied to our familiar courses and our traditional "teaching culture" and "learning culture'' will witness the great changes. What's more, it will change the approach of development for China's elementary education. It's no doubt that the key to the establishment of modern curriculum system depends on whether project learning can be well built up and well carried out This thesis begins with the background and feasibility of project learning and then gives an elaboration of the related researches done at home and abroad. The implication, characteristics, goal system and assessment of project learning are also dwelt upon in it. The research on the organization and application of project learning in senior high chemistry teaching is its focus for the purpose of obtaining what has been expected and knowing what needs to be done in the future.
