With the implement of fundamental educational curriculum reform and Chinese curriculum standard, a new fundamental.educational curriculum reform has come into force. Many experimental textbooks flourish quickly, among which the international elementary Chinese textbook by Jiangsu Educational Publishing House attracts more attention. It has made greater improvement than the former ones, which is based on Chinese curriculum standard, the spirit of creativity, the principles of Chinese teaching and the essence of traditional Chinese teaching materials.To be specific, the creativity of the new textbook on form and content are as follows: holding grand-new ideas, focusing on the form of the habit, paying attention to the full development, combining teaching with fun, training ability, presenting the art beauty with the mixture of articles and pictures. The analysis of the new textbook can provide not only rich teaching materials for Chinese elementary education but also references for the reasonable use of the teaching materials and the development of Chinese resources.However, there still exists some contradictions between the theoretical ideas and the practical implement. Some articles are lack of beauty, interest and classics, others cannot well combine the reading part with the written ones. In the future, we must strengthen the instruction of the professional theories if we want to diversify the Chinese teaching materials. Therefore, the multi-exploration of the teaching materials had better be carried out immediately.
