The effectiveness of teaching contents is an important level of teaching effectiveness as well as the prerequisite to achieve the desired effects on classroom teaching. The author focuses on the teaching contents of Chinese reading materials in senior high school to study Chinese teaching in class, trying to undertake a new exploration to help teaching style out of the "little, slow, poor, useless" predicament, then to undertake, and finally to improve the effectiveness of Chinese teaching.This study is based on three levels:Look at the present situation of establishment of teaching content of Chinese reading materials in senior high school; study the basis of establishment of teaching contents of Chinese reading materials in senior high school; explore the development path of teaching content of Chinese reading materials in high school.The author uses questionnaire and interviewing method to survey78Chinese teachers from7senior high schools in Shanghai’s5regions. From the survey, I find many Chinese teachers don’t pay enough attention to the curriculum standard and most of them are not familiar with it; the role of curriculum standard and characteristics of students to the determination of teaching content of reading materials is weakened; teachers seldom give students space to feel and think, who think teaching content should be limited in teaching materials; teachers always alienate, narrow and generalize the teaching materials.Based on the relating research results, the main basis of establishing teaching content of Chinese reading materials in senior high school is as follows:First,’what to teach’bases on the style. Literary should emphasize the aesthetic, cultural works should emphasize the application, and classical Chinese poetry should emphasize knowledge accumulation.Second,’how to teach’bases on the texts. The text is the main foundation, and the text help read system is the auxiliary foundation.Third,’what needs to teach in reality’based on the students. Students’thinking is the basement of teaching content and opportunity to adjust it.Based on the questionnaire and interviewing as well as the requirement of Shanghai curriculum standard’understand and use textbooks creatively’, the author explores the development way of Chinese reading materials in senior high school: First, following the original meaning of textbooks and refer to the different versions. From "recover original intention" to "construct new meanings", from "single the text" to "unit whole", from the teaching material "single structure" to "multiple structure", developing teaching contents multivariatively.Second, deepening the original contents and extend the space of teaching contents. Extending the teaching content space, developing the student thought training from author of text, the work content, writing skills and knowledge with the style.Third, adjusting the teaching structure properly and reorganizing the system of teaching contents. According to the stylistic features, combing, screening and integrating the teaching material content subject to human theme. As from the literary style, the author, the work style, content theme, restructuring the text and constituting the research-based and topic-oriented discussion.
